We provided professional Mechanical, Electrical, and Fire Alarm engineering consultation services for MakerBot, the company behind the innovation and distribution of desktop 3D printers. We also provided engineering consulting services for renovation expanding the current 31,250 ft2 space in Downtown Brooklyn on the 21st floor to include extra workspace on the 22nd floor of the building for research, development, and testing. The fast-growing startup expanded to Downtown Brooklyn from their original site in Boerum Hill after outgrowing a ground floor warehouse known as the “BotCave” that the company still uses for the assembly of MakerBots.
