HANAC, Inc. is a nonprofit organization that provides affordable housing for New York City’s senior citizens, as well as community outreach programs. This building is a Certified Passive House and meets the NYSERDA Multifamily Performance Standards for Energy Star Certification as well as the Enterprise Green Communities Criteria. It is also the first affordable senior housing development in the United States to meet the Passive House Institute design standards.

We were proud to provide the MEP and Fire Protection design consulting for this project. HANAC Corona Senior Residence was awarded the Best in Green Affordable Multifamily Community in 2019.
